Gov’s Political Adviser Charges Christians To Deepen Faith, Uphold Godly Living
...As Heaven Light Assembly Celebrates 61st Anniversary

Prince Godwin Ntuk Udeh, Ph.D., Political Adviser to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, has urged Christians to remain dedicated to God and commit to living uprightly by His laws.
Prince Udeh, who serves as a Senior Apostle and Chairman of the church, gave the charge during the 61st anniversary celebration service of Heaven Light Assembly, held at their international headquarters in Ikot Inyang Eti, Nsit Ubium LGA, on Tuesday, August 13, 2025.
Describing the past 61 years as “an unbroken covenant between God Almighty and Leader Ettete T. Edem”, the founder of the church, Prince Udeh, expressed deep appreciation to God for sustaining the ministry through the decades.

Speaking on the anniversary theme, “On the Mountain of the Lord, It Shall Be Provided,” with scripture culled from Genesis 22:1-19, Udeh reflected on Abraham’s faith and obedience, noting that these virtues secured God’s divine provision and blessing.
“Like Abraham, we must remain steadfast in our walk with God despite life’s challenges and temptations,” he said. “In the end, God will reward our faithful service,” he said.
The political adviser commended the High Priest, Leader Ekong E.T. Edem, for following in his father’s footsteps, leading with a heart wholly committed to God and serving without expectation of personal reward, and prayed God’s blessings upon him.

In his remarks, the High Priest, Leader Ekong E.T. Edem, attributed the church’s growth over the years to God’s guidance, unity among members, and his father, Leader E.T. Edem’s, unwavering commitment to answering God’s call.
“This anniversary is a reminder that God has been our anchor in every storm since our dear father, Leader E.T. Edem, answered the call of God into ministry,” he said and added, “We have seen generations raised in this ministry, and we will continue to raise more, standing firm in the truth of the Word and service to humanity.”
He prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the ministry and urged Christians to emulate Christ’s virtues in their daily lives.

The anniversary celebration featured a variety of activities, with the highlight being the cutting of the anniversary cake, accompanied by special prayers offered for the church by Leader Ekong E.T. Edem.
The event also featured vibrant praise sessions, with special ministrations from the church’s Angel Voices Choir, Abak Carol Choir, and songsters from the Salvation Army.
