Ibesikpo Asutan Council Boss Reiterates Governor Eno’s Commitment To Pensioners Welfare
The Chairman of the Transition Committee of Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area, Hon. (Mrs.) Akon Michael Asuquo has assured the Nigeria Union of Pensioners, of Governor Umo Eno’s commitment to their welfare.
Speaking while welcoming a delegation of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Ibesikpo Asutan Chapter, in her office on Friday, February 16, 2024, the transition boss, who’s an active member of the union, said she’s very excited to welcome the executive of the union and recalled her participation in the union immediately after her retirement in 2014.
Speaking further, she reiterated the resolve of His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, to “make sure the welfare of pensioners is prioritised. I’m sure you’re not oblivious.”
“After barely a few months in office, the governor is working around the clock to make sure all sectors of the state are touched. As one who has been with you, I charge you to continue to support His Excellency, Our Golden Governor, and his A.R.I.S.E. agenda.
“For the benefit of the doubt, Ikot Nkwo Health Post, here in Ibesikpo Asutan as of today, is a state-of-the-art health facility, giving credence to this administration.

“I feel very delighted to sit with you today, since your assumption of office as chairman by the grace of God. As you all know, you are my constituents, and I feel very good to see your faces once again.”
“Each time we plan to meet, one activity or the other will set in, but today, I am glad that we’re able to meet. This is where God has placed your sister.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the Chairman of the Union, Ibesikpo Asutan Chapter, Elder Gabriel Udoeyop, thanked the Transition Chairman for granting them an audience and expressed gratitude to the council boss for the opportunity to sit with her even with her busy schedules.
The Chairman of the Union thanked and appreciated Governor Umo Eno for re-appointing one of their own and lauded the political bigwigs of Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area for what they described as an overwhelming acceptance of the chairman.
While reeling out the request of the union to the Council Chairman, Mr. Gabriel said the union would be very happy if their request is given due consideration.
Members of the delegation were the Vice Chairman of the Union, Mrs. Affiong Edet Jacob; Secretary, Ededem E. Uko; and Auditor General of the Union, Effiong Moses Udo.
The high point of the visit was the official presentation of the union’s 2024 calendar and a jotter to the chairman.
