Oku Ibom Ibibio Pays Glowing Tribute To Late Pastor Patience Eno On 2nd Year Remembrance
...Says Golden Mother Left Indelible Footprints
The Oku Ibom Ibibio and President General of Akwa Ibom State Supreme Council of Traditional Rulers, His Eminence, Ntenyin (Dr.) Solomon Daniel Etuk, CFR, has paid glowing tributes to the late First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Her Excellency, Pastor (Mrs) Patience Umo Bassey Eno, as the state marks her second-year memorial.
The Oku Ibom Ibibio, in a tribute to commemorate the second anniversary of her transition, on Saturday, September 26, 2026, said the entire traditional institution in Akwa Ibom State bows in solemn remembrance of the late governor’s wife.
Ntenyin Etuk described the late Pastor Patience Eno as a virtuous woman of deep faith, humility and uncommon compassion who was not just the wife of the governor but a true mother of the state.
The monarch noted that through her pet project, the Golden Initiative For All (GIFA), the late First Lady brought succour to widows, hope to orphans, empowerment to women, and comfort to the sick and vulnerable without discrimination.
“Her love knew no clan, no tribe, no political party or affiliation. She was the quiet strength behind His Excellency, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, PhD, our governor. She was a prayer warrior, a home builder and a mother of uncommon grace,” the Oku Ibom said.

The revered traditional ruler noted that in her short time as First Lady, Pastor Patience Eno left distinctive footprints in the sands of time that two years of her exit cannot erase.
While commiserating with the Governor, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, and the entire Eno family, Ntenyin Etuk urged them to take solace in the fact that their wife and daughter lived a fulfilled life and have gone to be with their Maker, whom she served diligently while alive.
The premier Royal father assured that as traditional fathers, they will continue to pray for the repose of her gentle soul and for God’s abiding grace upon the family she left behind.
“May her memory continue to be a blessing. May her legacy of love, service and godliness continue to inspire us all. Rest on, our Golden Mother. Rest on, Eka Uforo. Adieu,” the tribute added.
