By Edna Monye

The Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Council under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Edidiong Inyang, Executive Chairman, has completed its Legislative Chamber, named Pastor Umo Eno Legislative Chamber in honour of the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State.

The one-storey complex, which is set to be commissioned soon, is part of the chairman’s infrastructural development drive in the local government within the last two years.

The Legislative Chamber features modern interior finishing, executive seating for councillors, acoustics, a modern lighting system, and a contemporary design befitting a legislative house of a progressive local government.

Speaking on the project, Rt. Hon. Edidiong Inyang said the decision to name the chamber after Governor Pastor Umo Eno, PhD, was in recognition of his exemplary leadership, his passion for grassroots development, and his unwavering support for local government administration through the ARISE Agenda.

He noted that the project aligns with his administration’s commitment to reposition Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government for effective governance and to provide an enabling environment for robust legislative engagement.
