The Director, Rayfield International Nursery and Primary Schools, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Mr NsikanAbasi Sam Edem has expressed appreciation to Governor Udom Emmanuel for the confidence reposed in their son, Captain Iniobong Ekong (Ret.) to serve in his cabinet.
Capt. Ekong, who until his appointment and swearing-in as Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources was a Senior Special Assistant, SSA, to the Governor on Security.
In a goodwill message to Capt. Ekong and a copy made available to newsmen, Mr NsikanAbasi Edem, son of Late Nigerian Ambassador and Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, His Excellency, Mr Sam Edem, said the appointment has continued to elicit unending joy.
Describing the appointment as well merited, he said Capt. Ekong, who hails from Ndiya Ikot Akpafuk of Ession Ita Ndiya, has laudable track records in his various services to the state and Nation.

“Your well-merited appointment has brought us great joy having known your worth and personage as a patriotic son of Ndiya Ikot Akpafuk of Ession Ita Ndiya nay Nduo Eduo Group of Villages in Western Nsit Clan in Nsit Ubium Local Government Area.
“I recall with satisfaction your laudable track records in the service of our fatherland in the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State until the present appointment.”
He offered congratulations to Capt. Ekong and expressed confidence in his capacity to carry out his duties admirably, and also prayed for God to give Capt. Ekong knowledge and wisdom.
“While trusting in your ability to deliver your assigned responsibilities diligently, I commit you in prayers to the Almighty God for His divine protection, knowledge and wisdom, he added.
Mr Edem reassured Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel of their unalloyed support and cooperation throughout his tenure and beyond.
