Nsibiet John Led-NUJ, Akwa Ibom, Holds Maiden Congress, Solemn Assembly Tuesday
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Akwa Ibom State Council, under the leadership of Comrade Nsibiet John-led State Working Committee (SWC) holds its maiden solemn assembly alongside congress on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
The solemn assembly is to usher in the new leadership of the union and prepare it for the unlimited grace of God.
According to a release by the council secretary, Comrade Nsikak Esenowo, the solemn assembly with the theme: “His Divine Presence” drawn from Exodus 33:14-16, will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the NUJ Press Centre, Information Drive, Uyo, while the congress is scheduled to follow immediately at 3:00 pm.

Comrade Esenowo, on behalf of council chairman, Comrade Nsibiet John, invites members of the SWC, State Executive Council (SEC), past chairmen and secretaries, as well as all members of the union to participate in the events.
