Oku Ibom Ibibio Lauds Gov Emmanuel On Aviation Development In A’Ibom

The Oku Ibom Ibibio and Chairman, Akwa Ibom State Council of Chiefs, His Eminence, Ntenyin (Dr.) Solomon Daniel Etuk, has lauded Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel for his passionate commitment towards the advancement of the aviation sector in Akwa Ibom State.
Ntenyin Etuk, who spoke on the recent arrival of two new additional aircraft for Ibom Air – A220 -300 series, noted that the gesture has further opened up Akwa Ibom State to the world for business, tourism and general travels.
“I am very happy to witness the birth of Ibom Air and the expansion of the fleet of its aircraft through the passionate commitment of the state governor, Mr Udom Gabriel Emmanuel.
“The arrival of the two new aircraft – A220-300 series for Ibom Air, an airline wholly owned by Akwa Ibom State government, gladdens my heart. It is a worthy development and deserves the appreciation of all indigenes of Akwa Ibom state, the monarch said.

The premier royal father, who is the Chancellor of Akwa Ibom State University, noted that Governor Emmanuel led administration has worked tirelessly to actualise the Victor Attah International Airport conceived by the erstwhile administration of Government Victor Attah and further developed by the regime of Governor Godswill Obot Akpabio.
“The airport project as conceived and started by the then Governor Victor Attah and further developed by the administration of Governor Godswill Akpabio has today been greatly advanced through the infrastructural development and the establishment of Ibom Air.
“The birth of Ibom Air has not only boosted aviation transportation but has addressed the challenges hitherto faced by indigenes of Akwa Ibom State and others, visiting the state. Our journeys through the air have been made simple.

“I am happy that Governor Udom Emmanuel is enhancing the vision for the establishment of the airport project. Today, Akwa Ibomites can travel with ease to Abuja, Lagos and other routes where Ibom Air is operating. Likewise, Visitors easily come to Akwa Ibom State through the services of Ibom Air. We have to applaud this and support Governor Emmanuel to do more.
It is really delightful that with the recent arrival of the two aircraft, A220-300 series, Ibom Air now has seven planes in its fleet. Already, the Governor has promised that more are coming,” Oku Ibom Ibibio added.
