Oku Ibom Ibibio and President General of Akwa Ibom State Supreme Council of Traditional Rulers, His Eminence, Ntenyin (Dr.) Solomon Etuk, JP, CFR, has lauded Governor Umo Eno for his achievements during his first year in office.

The Akwa Ibom premier royal father noted that Governor Eno, through his ARISE Agenda, has taken the impact of governance to the “units, wards, local government areas, state constituencies, federal constituencies and the senatorial districts of the state—in terms of appointments, projects, and government impacts.”

In an interview, Ntenyin Etuk stressed that the governor has given every Akwa Ibomite reason to rejoice about his coming to power through his commitment to service delivery.

“His Excellency, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, is my son in every sense of the word. He is a son I’m very proud of and a son that Akwa Ibom State, as a whole, is also very proud of. However, his political office and position make him our leader—the number one citizen. We respect him and must give him the due respect that goes with such an office to govern and execute his lofty programmes very well,” he said.

His words, “There are quite a lot that have given every Akwa Ibomite the reason to rejoice about the coming of Pastor Umo Bassey Eno as governor. As can be said, he has hit the ground running.

“That he has turned Akwa Ibom State into a construction site is not an exaggeration. With every sense of modesty, he means well for Akwa Ibom State and has taken governance to the units, wards, local government areas, state constituencies, federal constituencies and the senatorial districts of the state—in terms of appointments projects and government impacts.

But I can say that it is a process that has started very well. What we are witnessing is the evidence of the good stuff my son, our governor, is made of. By the end of his first tenure, his giant strides would have been established. He will certainly register indelible legacies.

“Again, let me reiterate that the best of Pastor Umo Eno is yet to manifest. If you have seen anything, hold your breath, because he will surpass everything people are seeing today. I can say that Akwa Ibom will be the hub of many activities in the near future.
