Oku Ibom Ibibio Praises A’ Ibom First Lady-Designate For Upholding Legacies Of Late Mother

Oku Ibom Ibibio and the President General of Akwa Ibom State Supreme Council of Traditional Rulers, His Eminence, Ntenyin (Dr) Solomon Etuk, JP, CFR, has commended Lady Helen Eno Obareki, Coordinator of the Office of the First Lady, for her relentless efforts to uphold the legacies and vision of her late mother and First Lady, Pastor Patience Eno, through her pet project, Golden Initiative For All – GIFA.
The supreme monarch, in his goodwill message at the first anniversary celebration of GIFA, held at Ibom Hall, Uyo, on Thursday, February 20, 2025, lauded Lady Obareki’s humanitarian disposition in transforming her mother’s vision into a reality, despite her passing to glory.
Accompanied by his spouse, Akwa Obongawan Philomina Solomon Etuk, Oku Ibom Ibibio, stated that Lady Helen Obareki has shown impressive foresight and administrative prowess in championing GIFA, an initiative that enhances family lives and provides succour to the vulnerable population in the state.
Golden Initiative for All, GIFA, in the last year, has pioneered impactful programmes in Akwa Ibom, leveraging a holistic approach which drives transformative change and addresses pressing social, economic, and environmental challenges, thereby complimenting the Arise agenda mantra.
By integrating life-enhancing initiatives in maternity and child healthcare, education, environmental sustainability, women’s empowerment, and social welfare, GIFA has established a framework that significantly enhances the well-being of the elderly, less-privileged individuals and many families.
Ntenyin Etuk, deeply impressed with the life-touching programmes executed by GIFA, with far-reaching impact across the state, lauded the First Lady Designate, who also serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of GIFA, charging her to continue working diligently in the best interest of the Akwa Ibom people.
“Today is a very special day, because Pastor Umo Eno, the governor of the state, has sown a seed, and the seed is what we are seeing today.”
