The President General of Akwa Ibom State Traditional Rulers Council, His Eminence, Ntenyin (Dr.) Solomon Daniel Etuk, JP, CFR, has congratulated Pastor Umo Bassey Eno for his victory at the gubernatorial election to emerge as the Governor-elect.
The premier royal father, in a congratulatory message on behalf of the Council entitled, “A Worthy Victory,” issued on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, noted that Pastor Eno’s announcement as the Governor-elect for Akwa Ibom by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) justifies the confidence that the people have in his capacity to govern the State.
The message read, “Akwa Ibom State Traditional Rulers Council heartily felicitates with you as the winner of the State’s gubernatorial election held on Saturday, March 18, 2023.
“Your historic success at the polls as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the GOVERNOR-ELECT on Sunday, March 19, 2023, confirms the confidence that the people of Akwa Ibom State have in you to lead them in the next dispensation come May 29, 2023.”
Ntenyin Etuk, who is the Oku Ibom Ibibio and Chancellor of Akwa Ibom State University, noted that the Royal Council sees Pastor Eno’s victory “as the divine will of the Almighty God, who has overwhelmingly demonstrated His love for you by standing by you and seeing you through the campaigns and electoral processes despite the challenges on your way.
“Dear Governor-elect, we trust in your capacity to deliver on your mandate and bring the desired development to Akwa Ibom State in the consolidation of the lofty achievements as recorded by His Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel-led administration.”
The President General, who is also the Paramount Ruler of Nsit Ubium Local Government Area said that the Council commits him to God’s continued benevolence and assured him of their prayers, cooperation and support in his leadership of Akwa Ibom State when he assumes the reins of governance on May 29, 2023.
Ntenyin Etuk said the Council also congratulates Governor Emmanuel for the success of his completion and succession agenda and for ensuring a peaceful and enduring environment for the conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly Elections as well as the Gubernatorial and State House Elections.
