Senator Albert Bemoans Loss Of AVM Mfon Ekpoh
Says His Passage A Huge Loss To Family, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria
The Chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream) and Senator representing Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Bassey Albert Akpan (OBA), has expressed sadness over the loss of Air Vice Marshall Mfon Udo Ekpoh.
Senator Albert in his condolence at the funeral service in honour of the Late Air Vice Marshall, held at Ibom Hall Grounds, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on Saturday, December 4, 2021, said Ekpoh’s passage was not only a monumental loss to his immediate family, but also to Akwa Ibom State, the Armed Forces and Nigeria as a whole.
OBA, who is the Leader of the Akwa Ibom State Caucus in the National Assembly, Abuja, while praying for the repose of the soul of the departed, urged members of the family to muster strength and bear the irreparable loss as well as carry on the sterling lifestyle and legacies of their late General.
The late Air Force General was also an ordained Minister in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). He served diligently in the Nigerian Air Force and also offered his services humbly as a security detail to the General Overseer of the RCCG, the revered Pastor Enoch Adeboye, until his demise.
The funeral service was conducted by the Abundance Mega Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Uyo.
