Senator Albert Lauds MP Aniekan Uko For Empowerment Of Constituents
The Chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream) and Senator representing Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Bassey Albert Akpan (OBA), has commended the former Speaker and Member representing Ibesikpo Asutan State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly (AKHA), Rt. Hon. Aniekan Uko for his tremendous support and goodwill for his constituents.
Senator Albert, who is the Leader, Akwa Ibom State Caucus in the National Assembly, Abuja stated this at the Thanksgiving and 6th Constituency Briefing/Empowerment Programme by Rt. Hon. Aniekan Uko, aka, Iboroakam, at the popular Prince Uwem Ita Etuk’s Farm House Grounds, Nung Udoe, Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area on Sunday, December 26, 2021.
The two-term senator remarked that the consistency employed by Rt. Hon. Aniekan Uko in reaching back to his people can only be powered by his love for his people and the unalloyed support of the people of Ibesikpo Asutan in his 6 years of effective and pragmatic representation.
In his speech, Rt. Hon. Uko thanked the Almighty God for the opportunity to serve the people of Ibesikpo Asutan since 2015. He thereafter thanked the entire Ibesikpo Asutan for the confidence reposed on him to speak for them in the State House of Assembly.

MP Uko also expressed his immense appreciation to the Political Leader of Ibesikpo Asutan and Uyo Federal Constituency, Prince Uwem Ita Etuk, a former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and erstwhile State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for his continuous support.
Iboroakam also promised to continue doing his best for his constituency and challenged whosoever will succeed him to pursue people’s oriented programmes so as to surpass his enormous legacies.

He donated two salon cars and one million Naira grant each to 15 people drawn from the 12 wards of Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area.
Some of Iboroakam’s signature projects in his six years in office includes; construction and renovation of over 6 classroom blocks, distribution of over 600 school desks to Primary Schools in Ibesikpo Asutan State Constituency, donation of 14 cars and 15 Motorcycles, scholarships to over 20 students and business grants worth over 50 million Naira.
