Senator Bassey Albert Felicitates With Otuekong Ibiono Ibom, Others On Chieftaincy Awards
The Chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream) and Senator representing Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Bassey Albert Akpan (OBA), has felicitated with Obong Emmanuel Udofia Ekpa and other prominent sons of Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area over Chieftaincy Awards.
The chieftaincy title of Otuekong Ibiono Ibom was conferred by Okuku (Dr.) Ime Udousoro Inyang, Paramount Ruler Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area, on Monday, December 27, 2021.
Senator Albert, who is the Leader, Akwa Ibom State Caucus in the National Assembly, was at the country home of Obong Ekpa at Use Ndon community in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area to celebrate with him on the chieftaincy award.
Obong Ekpa, who is the Grand Patron of OBA Grassroots Mobilizers (OGM) thanked the two-term senator for coming to celebrate with him and urged him to continue with his effective representation in the red chambers of the National Assembly as well as his numerous empowerment initiatives.
The Otuekong Ibiono Ibom thanked Okuku (Dr.) Ime Udousoro Inyang, Paramount Ruler of Ibiono Ibom LGA and the Ibiono Ibom Traditional Rulers’ Council for finding him worthy of such an elevation and promised to live up to expectations.
Other prominent sons of Ibiono Ibom who bagged traditional titles include, Prof. Essien Antia-Obong, Mr. Churchill Tom Udoh and Obong (Prof.) Halo Eton.
