Tyson, Wilder Square Up In Greatest Boxing Rematch

When both of them fought on December 1, 2018 the bout ended in a draw in Los Angeles.

 

It was an enthralling fight that that actually left the boxing world demanding a rematch.

 

Interestingly, Tyson Fury of Britain and Deontay Wilder of the United States have never lost a fight but a draw each. Fury has 29 wins and one draw while Wilder holds a record of 42 wins.

 

Wilder is putting on line his world heavyweight WBC belt which he has defended nine times now.

 

Fury himself is the linear world heavyweight championship having defeated Wladimir Klitschko in 2015 but surprising ly relinquished the belt due to mental illness.

 

In their first fight Wilder floored Fury twice in the ninth and 12th round. But to the amazement of all Fury beat the count and ended strong.

 

Most people at ringside gave it to Fury in spite of the knockdown but the judge awarded a draw.

 

Since that fight, both boxers have individually fought others. Wilder has fought twice,winning all by knockout while Fury also fought twice, winning a knockout and a unanimous point win in the other.

 

In between the bouts Fury has ventured into WWE fight as a wrestler and won a much publicized challenge encounter in Saudi Arabia.

 

The fight Wilder hold in Las Vegas and both fighter promising to knock out the other.

 

It will take place at about 4am Nigerian time on Sunday, February 23.
