Yuletide: Ide Owodiong-Idemeko Fetes Kinsmen, Party Faithful

A philanthropist in Akwa Ibom State, Obong Ide Owodiong Idemeko has appealed for continuous love and unity among the people of Ibesikpo Asutan as they embrace the New Year 2022.
Ide Owodiong, the international coordinator of 1001+ Voices Initiative for peoples’ empowerment made the remarks yesterday when he attended the year-end meeting of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Asutan 1 Ward, Ibesikpo-Asutan at the Ward Centre together with his wife, Ekaette.
The meeting which was the last for the year witnessed a large turnout of party faithful including the chapter chairman, Pastor Uwem Etim who was announced as the new political leader of the ward.
Ide cautioned them against complacency but to take active interest in the activities of the party and politics in general because democracy requires participation and eternal vigilance.

He ended by calling on the people to stand for competence, experience, passion and commitment to good governance in determining who to elect into all the positions of government during the forthcoming party primaries in 2022.
Obong Owodiong-Idemeko, a 2023 governorship hopeful, in the spirit of the season feted his constituents with sumptuous meal, drinks and bags of rice to take away.
He advised members of the party to live according to the teachings of Jesus Christ which is the real reason for the season.
