Quality healthcare delivery has been further boosted in Akwa Ibom State with the commissioning of one of the model primary health centers facilitated by the state government.
Commissioning the Model Primary Health Center at Ikot Uboh, Edemaya Clan, in Ikot Abasi Local Government Area on Wednesday, Governor Umo Bassey Eno reiterated his administration’s commitment to delivering impactful dividends to every nook and cranny of the state.
Represented at the event by the former Deputy Governor of the State and indigene of Edemaya Clan, Obong Nsima Ekere, the governor described the facility as “a practical expression of the ARISE Agenda, particularly its emphasis on healthcare and rural development.”

He insisted that “it is not simply the commissioning of another government project” but about “bringing quality healthcare closer to our people.”
While calling on the citizenry to utilise the facility and also safeguard it, the governor stated that the real measure of the facility’s success “would be the mother who would be safely delivered of her child here, the children who would be immunised here, the illnesses that would be detected early, and the lives that would be saved.”

He thanked the people for their unwavering support for the administration and promised continued impactful development for Ikot Abasi.
Ahead of the 39th anniversary of the creation of the state on September 23rd, the governor paid homage to the leaders, all past governors, and the people of Akwa Ibom, promising a glorious, united, and prosperous journey under his administration.
The event was graced by top government functionaries, traditional rulers, and members of the public.
