Belarus, Nicaragua Leagues Continue In Spite Of Pandemic
While most football leagues round the world have shut down as measures to prevent the corona virus pandemic, Belarus and Nicaragua are still on course.
Elite clubs in both nations are playing all weeks without break. However, a footballers protection body has reacted to what is going on in Belarus and Nicaragua and is reporting it to FIFA.
At the outset of the pandemic, some leagues played behind closed doors such as in Italy and Turkey.
But as concerns for the safety of players grew, they were forced to cancel all football programes indefinitely.
Also, friendly football matches are continuing among clubs in Sweden.
