Jubilation in Ibesikpo Asutan as Food Security Programme Gets Underway with Round One Distribution

It was all joy in Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area as the Chairman of the Transition Committee, Hon. (Mrs) Akon Michael Asuquo, commenced the 1st round of food distribution across the local government area.

The food distribution, a policy of the Akwa Ibom State Government under the administration of Governor Umo Bassey Eno was carried out across the 12 wards of Ibesikpo Asutan LGA.

Speaking during the issuing of food vouchers to beneficiaries from Ibesikpo Wards 1 to 6 and Asutan Wards 1 to 6 to access food from their respective redemption centres, the Chairman of the Transition Committee, Hon. (Mrs) Akon Michael Asuquo re-echoed the genuine love of the Governor, Pastor Umo Eno towards the vulnerable persons in the society.

She charged all the wards’ Assistants to the Governor to show utmost diligence, commitment and transparency towards ensuring the successful outcome of the food security initiatives.

The chairman also urged beneficiaries to continually offer prayers for the Governor’s well-being and success for his unprecedented kindness in introducing the food security program that has put food on their tables.

The event was duly handled by all the Personal Assistants to the Governor and strictly supervised by the Transition Chairman, Hon. Asuquo; the Vice, Hon. (Evang) Edidiong Inyang; Secretary, Hon. (Elder) Mfon Eka, among other council officials.
