Otuekong Emem Asikpo Congratulates Pastor Umo Eno Over Polls Victory

A Stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Otuekong Emem Dennis Asikpo has congratulated the Governorship Candidate of the party, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno for winning the gubernatorial election in the State.

Otuekong Asikpo, who is a Supervisory Councilor in Uyo Local Government and President of Youth Council of Ekpri Nsukara Offot Village, in a congratulatory message, entitled, “A Well Deserved Victory” issued on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, said Pastor Eno’s announcement as the Governor-elect for Akwa Ibom State by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) meets the yearnings of the people who voted for him en masse.

He said, “On behalf of my family, I heartily congratulate you for winning the Akwa Ibom State’s gubernatorial poll held on Saturday, March 18, 2023. Your victory has again demonstrated the wide acceptability of our party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by our people given its impressive governance of Akwa Ibom State from 1999 till date.

“Your historic announcement as the Governor-elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday, March 19, 2023, is very well deserved and in tandem with the collective aspirations of the people of Akwa Ibom State to lead them from May 29, 2023.”

Otuekong Asikpo further stated, “For emphasis, this is one victory that meets the yearnings of the entire people of Akwa Ibom State, who voted for you en masse. The people believe in your capacity to lead them successfully. They accepted your manifesto, the “Arise Agenda” as the blueprint for the transformation of Akwa Ibom State.

“The People of Akwa Ibom State have confidence in you as someone who is well experienced to consolidate on the laudable development antecedents of His Excellency, Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel as well as the landmark records of previous administrations of the State.

The philanthropist also congratulated the State Governor, Mr Udom Gabriel Emmanuel for leading the party to a successful electoral victory and for his statesmanship and general love for the entire State.

“Let me also congratulate our amiable Governor, His Excellency, Mr Udom Gabriel Emmanuel for successfully leading the Party to win the governorship and majority seats in the State House of Assembly elections.

“We fully reckon with His Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel’s statesmanship, peaceful mien, unity drive and love for the entire State and trust in your capacity to take the mantle of leadership to greater heights in the next dispensation beginning from May 29, 2023,” he added.

Otuekong Asikpo appealed to politicians across all political parties in Akwa Ibom to join hands with the Governor-elect for the sake of the progress and well-being of the State.

“I, therefore appeal to all politicians across all political parties in the State to join hands with the Governor-elect for the peace, unity, progress and wellbeing of Akwa Ibom State now and beyond. Let us all see Pastor Umo Bassey Eno’s victory as the will of God and give peace a chance,” he advised.
