Apostle Abasiandikan Nkono, the political leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Eket Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, has hailed Senate President Godswill Akpabio for galvanising the party and setting it on the path of great success.
Speaking with reporters at the Ukana, Essien Udim country home of the Senate President on Friday, Apostle Nkono observed that the recent surrendering of the Young Progressives Party’s structure in the state to the APC bodes well for the latter in its quest to deepen its spread in the state.
He attributed the development to Senator Akpabio, whom he said is succeeding in making the party attractive as well as harmonising the various strata and components of the party into a formidable powerhouse.
He added, “Akwa Ibom State should not be on the fringes for too long. Connecting the state with the party at the centre is a work-in-progress. Our leader, Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio, has galvanised us to work with him towards the realisation of the lofty goal.”
Apostle Nkono, also the Commissioner representing Akwa Ibom State in the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), equally appreciated the Senate President for hosting stakeholders during the recently concluded Senatorial Districts’ tour.
“This shows the love and respect he has for the stakeholders. Akwa Ibom APC is definitely in safe hands,” he maintained.
