A’Ibom At 36: Eteidung Asikpo Felicitates With Gov Eno, Lauds Forebears
The Village Head of Ekpri Nsukara Offot in Uyo Local Government Area, Eteidung Emem Denis Asikpo has felicitated with the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno and his Wife, Pastor (Mrs.) Patience Eno, the government and the people on the State’s 36th anniversary.
Eteidung Asikpo commended the founding fathers, whose vision and agitation brought about the creation of Akwa Ibom State by the Federal Military Government under General Ibrahim Babangida, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic on September 23, 1987.
He also gave kudos to successive leaders of Akwa Ibom State since 1987 for the landmark multifaceted development their respective administrations established which have greatly changed the landscape of the State.
The village head noted that with a visionary leader like Pastor Eno, currently on the saddle as the governor, the state will certainly witness more socio-economic and political development from a global perspective considering his blueprint, the A.R.I.S.E Agenda.

The goodwill message read, “On behalf of Ekpri Nsukara Offot Village, I heartily felicitate with the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno and Wife, Pastor (Mrs.) Patience Eno, the Government and the people on the 36th anniversary of our beloved State.
“On this auspicious occasion, Ekpri Nsukara Offot is happy to commend our legendary forebears, whose vision and agitation brought about the creation of Akwa Ibom State by the Federal Military Government under General Ibrahim Babangida, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic on September 23, 1987.
“We give kudos to our successive leaders since 1987 for the landmark multifaceted development put in place which has greatly changed the landscape of Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria.
“With a visionary leader, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Bassey Umo Eno on the saddle, who is armed with the A.R.I.S.E Agenda, Akwa Ibom State is set to witness more socio-economic and political development from a global perspective.
