Akwa Ibom National Assembly Caucus Condoles With State PDP
National Assembly members from Akwa Ibom State have commiserated with the State leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) over the demise of its Chairman, Hon. Udo Ekpenyong.
The members, under the aegis of Akwa Ibom National Assembly Caucus, led by its Chairman, Senator Bassey Albert Akpan (OBA) undertook a condolence visit to the State PDP at its State Secretariat, Atan Offot, Uyo, Thursday.
Senator Albert, on behalf of the delegation, prayed to the Almighty God to grant the immediate family of the deceased and the PDP family in the State the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
According to OBA, who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream), Late Obong Udo Ekpenyong was a pillar for political stability in the party and prayed for the repose of his soul.
Present were the members representing Itu/Ibino Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Dr. Henry Archibong; Ikot Abasi Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Francis Udoyok; Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency, Hon. Emmanuel Ukpong Udo; Abak Federal Constituency, Hon. Aniekan Umanah.
Responding, the Acting State Chairman of the Party, Rt. Hon. Lawrence Kingsley Udosen appreciated the delegation for the condolence visit.
Hon Udosen said the late Chairman was a great leader, assuring that they will work hard to sustain his lofty ideals and the gains made under his leadership.
