Group Charged To Galvanize Members, Public To Partake In Continuous Voter Registration, Elections
A renowned socio-political group in Akwa Ibom State, My Destiny My Future, has been tasked to show total commitment to the ongoing transition to a new government in 2023 by ensuring that its over 20,000 members and other eligible voters get their PVCs in readiness for the coming general election.
A prominent governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Obong Ide Owodiong Idemeko, who stated this during the official inauguration of the My Destiny My Future Organization’s national secretariat in Uyo Monday, told the group that their destiny is in their hands by being in the forefront to elect credible, competent and God-fearing leaders to pilot the affairs of the state.
“Nigeria in general and our dear state, in particular, is on the verge of electing another crop of leaders to pilot the affairs of the nation and our state. We must shun every pecuniary gain for collective good. We must entrust our collective destiny and dreams to only the people who are well prepared and passionate to drive our collective dream toward development, progress and prosperity,” Ide Idemeko emphasized.

Ide Idemeko, who is also the international coordinator of the 1001+ Voices Initiative for peoples’ empowerment also urged the group to work towards the sustenance of democracy through advocacy and continuous enlightenment of the public stressing that there is no alternative to democracy and good governance.
He highlighted that for Akwa Ibom to truly achieve greatness and fully realize its potential, a sincere and competent leader who has an elaborate blueprint and political will to ensure its implementation must be elected to pilot the affairs of the state from 2023.
On his own Amb. Chris Akpan, the National President, the National Executive Committee and entire members of My Destiny My Future Organization expressed deep gratitude to Obong Ide Owodiong Idemeko who served as a special guest at the event.
The president described the grand opening of the national secretariat as awesome as it ended in praises while thanking God who made it possible.
