Nsit Atai Council Chairman Receives Army Recruits, Applauds Them On Enlistment

The executive chairman of Nsit Atai Local Government Area, Hon. Prince Anthony Nyong, received a delegation of newly recruited army personnel from the local government on a courtesy visit to his office on Monday, July 13, 2026.

The three-man delegation, Amos Victory Joshua, Bassey Ignatius Joseph and Udo Richard Samson, were at the council secretariat to formally inform the Chairman of their successful recruitment into the Nigerian Army and to seek his fatherly blessings and support as they commence training and service to the nation.

Speaking during the visit, the leader of the delegation, Udo Richard Sampson, expressed gratitude to the Chairman and the entire people of Nsit Atai for their prayers and support throughout the recruitment process.

He noted that the visit was to identify with the council boss and to pledge their commitment to serving the country with diligence, discipline, and patriotism.

In his response, the Executive Chairman congratulated the recruits on their successful enlistment and described them as worthy ambassadors of Nsit Atai Local Government Area.

Prince Nyong urged them to uphold the values of hard work and patriotism and to make the local government, as well as Akwa Ibom State, proud in their service to the nation.

Nyong further assured them of the council’s support and prayed for God’s protection as they embark on this noble assignment of safeguarding the territorial integrity of Nigeria.

The Chairman used the opportunity to express appreciation to Gov. Umo Eno, PhD, the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, for his commitment to youth empowerment and for ensuring that Akwa Ibom sons and daughters were given priority in national opportunities. The visit ended with a group photograph, a cash donation, and a goodwill message from the council.

Also in attendance were the Vice Chairman of the Council, Hon. Mrs Affiong Amanam; Secretary of Council, Elder Sunday Udia; and supervisors.
