Making the disclosure, Ntenyin (Dr.) Solomon Etuk, who is also the chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Council of Chiefs, advised that the peace enjoyed in the area must not be taken for granted hence the need for an ultramodern edifice for the police to operate from, as the present police post in the area was unbefitting.

Ntenyin Etuk, who affirmed that the traditional rulers’ council (TRC) under his leadership has always partnered security agencies in all areas bordering on the security of lives and properties, declared that the council abhors criminality within its rank down to the youth leadership structure in the area and the entire local government area.

“Security is a collective responsibility. We need a very peaceful society. In Nsit Ubium, you cannot be a youth leader and be involved in criminality. My Commissioner (referring to Police Commissioner Andrew Amiengheme), I want to assure you that anyone involved in criminality, we will report to you accordingly,” he reassured.
