A prominent entrepreneur and politician in Akwa Ibom State, Obong Daniel Udoh has rated the six-year scorecard of the representative of Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District and chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream), Senator Bassey Albert Akpan as being above expectation.
In a goodwill message to Senator Bassey Albert Akpan on the occasion marking his sixth year in the Senate, titled, “Congratulations to an Outstanding Senator”, Obong Daniel Udoh said the senator has projected the image of Akwa Ibom North East, and indeed Akwa Ibom State in very positive dimensions in both the 8th and 9th Nigerian Senate.
According to him, apart from posting outstanding legislative duties, Senator Albert has done empowerment for his constituents and other indigenes of Akwa Ibom State more than any other legislator in the history of the state.
He said, “You have exceeded our expectations in the Senate given your enormous contributions in terms of bills, motions and petitions.
“You have portrayed the image of Akwa Ibom North East (Uyo) Senatorial District, and indeed Akwa Ibom State, in very positive light in the 8th and 9th Nigerian Senate.
“It is on record that the first bill that has been passed by this 9th Senate was presented by you.
“You regularly empower your people in terms of cars, mini buses, tricycles, hairdressing equipment, sewing machines and many more.
“You have put in place an efficient constituency office to ease your people’s contact with you and your activities as you are in Abuja.”
Obong Udoh, who is the chairman, Senator Bassey Albert Akpan Liaison Office, Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo, further stated that Senator Albert also avails his time to personally interact, interface and attend the constituency’s activities and events of constituents as well as others at very regular basis in line with his give back policy.
“You are indeed the people’s Senator. Please keep sustaining your established signature of effective representation. Our heartiest congratulations to you on this narrative change,” he added.
