It was all pomp and celebration in the evening of Monday, December 27, 2021 in the serene village of Ididep Usuk in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State as the senator representing Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Bassey Albert Akpan feted friends, relatives and the entire community to mark the yuletide.
Senator Albert, who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources Upstream and Leader, Akwa Ibom State Caucus in the National Assembly, Abuja is a native of Ididep Usuk, a fringe community in the large and thickly populated Ibiono Ibom LGA.
The village head of Ididep Usuk, Obong Ubon Effiong and all classes of people – youths, women and men, all gathered within and outside the country home of Senator Albert, popularly known as OBA, displaying unrestrained jubilation in appreciation for having the senator in their midst to celebrate the season.
For Senator OBA, his dear wife, Pastor (Mrs) Imaobong Nkeiru Albert, family and associates alike, the get-together was quite evocative as the people counted their blessings for having the Senator as their worthy and impactful son, who has transformed many lives and brought Ididep Usuk, often likened to the biblical Bethlehem, to limelight.
