AKHA Speaker Scores Gov Emmanuel High On Medical Intervention
… Describes the 300-Bed Space Isolation Centre as a Gift to Uruan LGA
The Speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey, has scored Governor Udom Emmanuel high on medical intervention and commitment in the fight against COVID-19 in the state.Bassey said this at the commissioning of the state-of-the-art 300-bed space Isolation Centre at Methodist General Hospital, Ituk Mbang, Uruan Local Government Area Friday.
He said, “I thank God for the governor we have today, His Excellency, Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, two years ago made a promise that we will return to this hospital and today, he is here for us to see. The people of Uruan remain grateful for this gift.”

The Speaker congratulated Governor Emmanuel on his outstanding performance within the first one year in his second term in office, which, according to him, is what triggered members of the 7th Assembly to unanimously pass a vote of confidence on the Governor.
He further commended the governor for using wisdom in his leadership in tackling the issue of Covid-19 in state which he believed the state will surmount the pandemic through wisdom in leadership.
