Akwa Ibom Is Proud Of Sunday Mbang – Oku Ibom Ibibio
The Oku Ibom Ibibio and chairman, Akwa Ibom State Council of Chiefs, His Eminence, Ntenyin (Dr.) Solomon Daniel Etuk has felicitated with the Prelate Emeritus of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, His Eminence, Dr. Sunday Mbang on his 85th birthday celebration.
Ntenyin Etuk says that the people of Akwa Ibom State are proud to identify with Dr. Mbang, a former President, World Methodist Council and longest Prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, for his outstanding character and leadership.
“The people of Akwa Ibom State are proud to identify with His Eminence, Dr. Sunday Mbang, the Prelate Emeritus of The Methodist Church of Nigeria on the celebration of his 85th birthday,” the premier royal father stated.
Speaking at the birthday celebration in Lagos recently, the Patriarch of the Ibibios added that, “Dr. Mbang is a great man, someone who gives hope to the hopeless and a father who is always giving good advice and telling us to follow the path of truth.”
“Dr. Sunday Mbang is a symbol of truth, he is a symbol of light; he is an embodiment of love to the people of Akwa Ibom and the country at large.

“I am very proud to identify with him as a man of God – someone God has chosen to serve us and he has served us aright.”
Ntenyin Etuk, who is the chancellor of Akwa Ibom State University and Paramount Ruler of Nsit Ubium LGA, commended everyone who attended the various events of his 85th birthday and testified to what God has used Dr. Sunday Mbang to do for the people of this great country and beyond.
“On behalf of the people, the traditional institution of Akwa Ibom State and the Ibibio people worldwide, I say congratulations Papa.
“We will continue to celebrate you for all you have done for our people. Thank you and thank you. May the Almighty God continue to bless you richly, bless your family and give you long life,” Oku Ibom Ibibio stated.

He wished him long life and God’s bountiful mercies, “I want to celebrate with you again when God gives us another opportunity to do again. God bless you sir.”
