Kudos To A’Ibom Govt, CAN, For Lifting Ban On Churches
Let me first of all commend very sincerely the state government’s decision in authorizing the immediate reopening of places of worship – the churches- that were closed down as a result of the prevailing negative impact of the deadly coronavirus pandemic in the state.
In the last few months, closure of churches in Akwa Ibom made it difficult for Christians to practice their faith openly. Rather than continue in their usual congregational worship, they were subjected to confinement into home fellowship.
Thanks to the Akwa Ibom State government in conjunction with the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), for coming up with a workable guideline that made possible the reopening of churches in the state.
