Monarchs Deepen Prospects For Community Policing, Hold Summit In Abuja
Monarchs in the Country under the aegis of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria (NCTRN) have concluded plans to hold a summit in Abuja towards strengthening Community policing.
The event which is slated to hold on 11th December, 2019 at Nicon Luxury Hotel, Area 11, Abuja will have Monarchs across the country converge to discuss the role of traditional rulers on deepening prospects for Community policing and the tackling of Menace Of Drug Abuse.
In a letter signed by His Eminence, Alhaji Dr. Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar CFR, mni, Sultan of Sokoto and Chairman of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria (NCTRN) and addressed to the Chairman, Akwa Ibom State Council of Chiefs, the Oku Ibom Ibibio, His Eminence, Nteyin Solomon D. Etuk, JP Paramount Ruler of Nslt Ubium Local Government Area, the Oku Ibom Ibibio in company of two other Traditional Ruler from the state are expected to attend the summit.
The summit which is the 11th General Assembly of National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria (NCTRN) will be co-chaired by His Eminence, Alh. Dr. Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar CFR, mni, Sultan of Sokoto, Chairman and His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, Ooni of lfe, as Co-Chairman.
It could be recalled that recently a 2-Day Security Summit of the South South Monarchs Forum was held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State where traditional rulers converged towards the prospect of maintaining peace at various domains especially in the Niger Delta.
