Steer Clear of Exam Centres – Police Warn Criminal Elements
Criminal elements have been warned to stay off the ongoing JAMB Computer-Based Test (CBT) examinations in Akwa Ibom State.
The Akwa Ibom State Police Command gave the warning through a press release issued by its Public Relations Officer, DSP Timfom John, in Uyo on Wednesday.
The command assured the general public, particularly candidates participating in the JAMB CBT examinations, that adequate security measures have been put in place across all examination centres in the State to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free exercise.
The release read, “Command hereby issues a strong warning to all criminal elements and individuals without legitimate business at the examination centres to stay clear of these venues throughout the duration of the examinations.
“Any person found loitering, attempting to disrupt the process, or engaging in any form of examination malpractice or criminal activity will be promptly arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law.

“Members of the public are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious movements or activities to the nearest police station or through the Command’s emergency lines.
“The Commissioner of Police reassures residents of the Command’s readiness to maintain law and order and wishes all candidates success in their examinations,” she stated.
