Conferment Of Honourary Fellowship Of NISafetyE Is A Call To Do More For Humanity – Senator Albert
In recognition of sterling leadership qualities and effective representation in the Senate, the Nigerian Institution of Safety Engineers NISafetyE, Akwa Ibom State Council has conferred an Honourary Fellow award on Distinguished Senator Bassey Albert Akpan (OBA).
The Nigerian Institution of Safety Engineers – a subset of the Nigerian Society of Engineers conferred the honour on Senator Albert, who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources Upstream and representative of Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District during the investiture ceremony of Engr. Akaninyene Ekong, MNSE, as the 3rd National Chairman on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the prestigious Ibom Icon Hotel and Golf Resort, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The two-term Senator and Senator representing Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District, in his remarks while receiving the delegation of the Nigerian Institution of Safety Engineers, for the formal presentation of the plaque in his Shelter Afrique residence in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on Sunday, February 6, 2022 thanked the body for the honour.
He expressed his delight and acceptance of the Honourary Fellow of the institution, adding that it will serve as an encouragement to him to do more for humanity and then pledged his committment to the development of safety engineering in our society.
In his address, Engr Akaninyene Ekong , MNSE, FNISafetyE, the 3rd National Chairman, while congratulating Senator Bassey Albert on his conferment as honourary fellow of the institution and his achievements in office, described him as a man with many sterling qualities and effective service delivery generally.
