Uyo First Lady Admonishes Young Women On Hard Work, Diligence
The wife of the chairman of Uyo Local Government Area, Mrs Akaninyene Uwemedimo, attended the United Evangelical Church Campus Fellowship’s opening ceremony of their National Sisters’ Conference today at the Four Towns Assembly of the church in Uyo.
The commissioner of Women Affairs, Dr. Ini Adiakpan, the Commissioner for Rural Development and Cooperatives, Mrs. Enobong Mbobo and the vice chairman of Uyo Local Government Area, Pastor Sylvia Ekong among other ministers of God attended the opening ceremony.
The conference is tagged, “Marvelous Help for Daughters of Zion”. The young women were admonished on the importance of faithfully serving God, hard work, sexual purity, and academic excellence.

Mrs Uwemedimo in her goodwill message applauded the church Superintendency and the campus fellowship under the leadership of Rev. Aniedi Akpan for putting together the conference which promises to be spiritually enriching and inspiring.
She also encouraged them to have good mentors and aspire to have an exemplary personality people would want to associate with. She also prayed that God place destiny helpers for the young women in every phase of their lives.
