A’Ibom APC Delivers 389,197 Votes in Presidential Primary For Tinubu

... As Akpabio, ors laud Gov Eno over Peaceful Primaries

President Bola Tinubu pulled 389,197 votes to emerge winner of the presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom State.

At the State Collation Centre, Banquet Hall, Government House, Uyo, the State Collation/Returning Officer, Pastor Umo Eno, declared the President winner, having garnered a total score of 389,197 votes.

Eno congratulated President Tinubu for the overwhelming victory in Akwa Ibom State and appreciated the citizenry for the peaceful conduct across the State.

He called on APC members to get ready to begin galvanising other citizens ahead of the 2027 polls so that the party’s victory would be resounding.

Speaking shortly after the declaration, the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, appreciated Governor Eno for being an architect of peace, stressing that the peaceful atmosphere which characterised the APC primaries in the State was unprecedented.

He recalled how primaries were conducted in the past years amidst gunshots, bloodshed, intimidation, harassment, killings and maiming.

Senator Akpabio reaffirmed that Akwa Ibom has never had it so good as experienced under Governor Eno, adding that the support for his second term is purely on performance and the need to maintain the peace across the State.

In his opening remarks, the State Chairman of the APC, Obong Stephen Ntukekpo, congratulated Senator Akpabio and Governor Eno for their successful emergence as candidates of the party in their respective offices and assured them of the continuous support of the party.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, and Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah, commended Governor Eno for the peaceful conduct of the party primaries across the State.

He attributed the feat to the collaboration between the Senate President and the State Governor, stressing that such has been of great benefit to the party and the State in general.
