Democracy, The Best Governance

May 29 of evey year is set aside as a period of commemorating the beginning of democratic governance in Nigeria. From 1999 till date, the country has passed through different stages of transition from one leadership to another.

Today, the question in the minds of most Nigerians is, has our country Nigeria really fared better in the current democratic dispensation than what happened during the military era?

Some are of the opinion that the worst democracy is better than the best military rule. The reason being that democratic governance comes with full complement of human rights and privileges that were stripped off by the military.

Kudos to all those who have contributed their quota to the emergence of democracy in our dear country Nigeria.
