Gov Eno’s Political Adviser Charges Staff On Loyalty and Discipline
...Warns Against Anti-Government Conduct
In a move to reinforce professional ethics and institutional integrity, the Political Adviser to Governor Umo Eno, Prince Godwin Ntuk Udeh, Ph.D., convened a strategic meeting with his staff, bordering on the necessity of absolute loyalty and discipline in support of the state government.
Prince Udeh, addressing his team at his office, emphasized that his role as Political Adviser is a privileged assignment bestowed on him by the Governor, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, and that his duty is to serve as a dependable political defender—providing facts, figures, and strategic guidance while leaving final decision-making to his principal.
He stressed the importance of loyalty and institutional discipline, noting that the effectiveness of government communication and political coordination relies heavily on the internal cohesion and commitment of those working within the system.

According to him, “I am here at the privilege and instance of His Excellency, and I am duty bound to deliver on the objectives of this administration. My role is not just advisory but protective of the Governor’s mandate, ensuring accuracy, loyalty, and service delivery.”
The Political Adviser issued a stern warning against any form of anti-party behavior, disloyalty, or acts capable of undermining the integrity of the office or the government. He referenced a recent situation involving his former media aide whose appointment was terminated due to alleged betrayal and inflammatory statements against the Governor and the office, describing it as a cautionary lesson on the consequences of disloyalty.

Prince Udeh further described it as an act of disloyalty and betrayal to make disparaging remarks about the office of the Political Adviser on grounds of alleged underpayment, particularly where such claims fail to acknowledge the extensive benefits and privileges that were enjoyed during the period of the working relationship.

He stated unequivocally that any staff who find themselves at variance with the principles or direction of the office should exit honorably rather than remain within the system while undermining its leadership.
“It is better to leave than to remain and work against the interest of this office, the Governor, the party and it’s Leadership as these constitute the source of our mandate and authority,” he stated.
The Political Adviser further reaffirmed his support for the Governor’s developmental strides under the ARISE Agenda, noting that the administration’s achievements in infrastructure, human capital development, economic expansion, tourism, and security have strengthened public confidence and positioned Akwa Ibom State on a path of sustained growth.

He asserted that Pastor Umo Eno’s impressive performance and developmental strides merit overwhelming support for His Excellency’s second term in office.
While noting that constructive engagement and internal advice are welcome, the Political Adviser made it clear that sabotage, divided loyalty and political mischief would not be tolerated under his watch.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Ethical Reorientation, Rev. (Dr.) Osondu Ahirika, in his exhortation, reinforced the message of loyalty and discipline, stating that it is unethical for anyone working within government to act in opposition to the very administration they serve.
Drawing from biblical references including Matthew 12:30, Revelation 3:15–16, 2 Timothy 2:4, and 2 Samuel 9:1, Rev. Ahirika outlined what he described as the “Four-Way Loyalty Test,” which includes Total Alignment, No Middle Ground in Loyalty, Strict Focus, Honor the Social Network Theory and adherence to ethical responsibility within institutional structures.
He stressed that there is no middle ground in loyalty, stating that individuals are either fully committed or not committed at all. He warned against “lukewarm” attitudes, referencing Jesus’ teachings that condemn double-mindedness and divided allegiance.
“You cannot run with the hare and hunt with the hounds. Staff must choose alignment and remain consistent in their loyalty to the office and the government,” he stated.
Rev. Ahirika further emphasized that loyalty must extend to the principal, noting that support for the Political Adviser inherently reveals support for the Governor, whose mandate the office represents.
He cautioned against betrayal, describing it as a stain on personal integrity that is difficult to erase, and encouraged staff to be committed, focused, and aligned with the vision of the administration.
Rev. Ahirika commended Prince Udeh for his leadership qualities, describing him as a diligent administrator with a “Midas touch,” referencing his leadership history including his tenure as International President of the Mboho Akparawa Ibibio organization and other roles he has held in public service.
The SSA stated that through diligence, unwavering loyalty, and a strong sense of duty, Udeh earned the confidence of the the Governor, Pastor Umo Eno Ph.D, who subsequently appointed him as Political Adviser and since assuming office, he has continued to discharge his responsibilities with steadfast commitment, dedication, and a clear sense of purpose.
Rev. Ahirika prayed for continued grace upon the Political Adviser, expressing confidence that he would continue to rise despite opposition and blackmail, with his leadership trajectory remaining upward.
The meeting concluded with a renewed pledge from the staff to uphold professionalism, discipline, and unwavering loyalty in the discharge of their duties within the office of the Political Adviser, as they continue to support the Governor’s vision for a prosperous Akwa Ibom State.
