AKHA, Temper Justice With Mercy

The recent suspension of the duo of Uyo and Nsit Atai local government councils chairmen by the leadership of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly has been greeted with mixed reactions, some for and others against.

Whatever the case might have been, it is wise that the leadership of the Assembly tempers justice with mercy and withdraw or rather lift the suspension, thereby giving the two councils chairmen a second chance.

It will speak well of members of the Assembly if such humane disposition is demonstrated towards their fellow public officers, because to err is human, to forgive is divine.
